Jun. 889, a privilege of King Eudes while he was at St-Maxime d'Arles at the request of Abbot Gairulf, covering all of St-Pierre de Beaulieu's ex-fiscal property, namely the estates at Chameyrac given by Archbishop Raoul, at le Saillant given by Archbishop Frotar, at Dignac given by Ermenric, at Girac given by Count Godfrid, and the various exchanges carried out between Raoul and Bishop Stodilo of Limoges and Count Raimond I of Toulouse; the archive is very plainly in use here, as these grants are Beaulieu IV, VIII, XI, LV & CLXVI, CLXIX & XVIII respectively. Eudes also grants Sioniac with license to set up a market, as if this were a new concession though in fact this was already done in Beaulieu V. A full immunity is given and the royal fine of 600 solidi imposed for infringements, which must be dealt with in the royal court; this is definitely immunity in the Rosenwein model, binding the abbey tight in gratitude and dependence.
