Frotar appears as Archbishop of Bourges from 876 to 887 in Beaulieu IX, VIII, X, XLIII, XI & XII, the last of which is posthumous. He seems to have inherited his predecessor Raoul's rôle as protector of St-Pierre de Beaulieu and makes a reasonably chunky donation there shortly before he dies (Beaulieu XLIII).
