A man called Ermenric witnesses all of Beaulieu CLXXI, CXXVII & LVII, which run 876-882, and then gives land in Bar himself that he holds partly from royal gift, in Beaulieu LV & CLXVI (885), mentioned again subsequently in Beaulieu XII (889). It doesn't seem unreasonable to suppose that these are all the same guy, but the areas concerned vary widely. Clearly he is a major player in the area whose importance sometimes places him at the abbey when business is being done!
