Aug. 887, a donation by Archbishop Frotar of Bourges of the villa of le Saillant, freshly bought from Count Eudes of Toulouse in Beaulieu X, to St-Pierre de Beaulieu. This is done for the benefit of the souls of Count Raimond I and all three of his sons including Eudes, but also for Frotar's (is he family?), who also institutes a feast on the day of his death and requires burial at St-Pierre. The estates transferred are specifically to furnish ten modii of wine for Communion purposes. Dating is by Charles the Fat as if that had never been a problem, perhaps because the witness field is wider than usual, with three bishops (Hecfrid of Poitiers, Guillaume of Cahors and Adoleno of Albi) as well as a raft of others. Frotar signs only as bishop, though he is archbishop in the address.
