Jul. 899, a donation to St-Pierre de Beaulieu by Archambald and his wife Ermesindis who apparently fear the fires of Gehenna, reasonably enough eh? The properties concerned are at Maumont, which they consider to be the in the county of Turenne and where they concede half the church of St-Pardulfe and six manses and a slave that go with it, but retaining the usufruct under a cens of 2 solidi to be paid on Martinmas, and leaving Archambald's brother Ramnulf the option to buy out the deal for an equivalent donation elsewhere; if the abbey is foolish enough to alienate it the property is to revert to Archambald's son of the same name. This document is the first to feature Abbot Raoul, suggesting that Rainulf has now died.
