Persons of this name occur in several of the Beaulieu charters, and this is important because Deloche points out that this name runs in the family of the viscounts of Castelnau, and so more or less puts them into a genealogy. I'm not sure if this can be sustained, but we certainly need the data collected. The appearances are Beaulieu:

• XLV (880, witness to donation of property in Castelnau to Beaulieu)
• LVII (882, witness to donation of property in Castelnau to Beaulieu)
• CLVIII (889, lead witness to donation of property in Castelnau to Beaulieu)
• XXII (899, donor with wife Ermesindis of property in Turenne to Beaulieu, naming a brother Ramnulf and a son Archambald)
• LXXXVIII (C10thxC11th, final witness to donation of property in Puy d'Arnac to Beaulieu)
• CXXII (1028x29, donation to Beaulieu with mother Adalburga of property in Puy d'Arnac)
