St Totteringham's Day was the day when Arsenal fans celebrate the fact that Tottenham can no longer catch Arsenal in the League. It is a movable feast, but usually falls in March, April or May. It was the day to collect on bets made by over-optimistic Spurs fans in the close season who think that "this is the year".

See the links on the left for more information.

Well the close season is nearly over...

And I still haven't updated the analysis section of the history page.

I have however created the link for the new season. It's over there in the links section. Doesn't link to much yet!

I also promised (by way of thanks for pointing out an error) that I'd share this image c/o Mr Alex Jones. Enjoy:

    Wembley Wanderers FC Enjoy.

In other news: I can be found on twitter @stottsday for pointless updates during games and links back here. Oh and the usual rubbish one gets on twitter.

    Oddness with new season

I am having a few teething problems with the new season. But this site is still here. Doubt you'll see much before Christmas though.

    Another new season

It is still way too early to worry about St Totteringham's day this year, but I have added a link to the new season to the side bar, and you should see the first placeholder article Real Soon Now(tm).

I am afraid I still haven't done anything about cookies: be aware I am still using google analytics to track hits.

    Cookies and stuff

The law on tracking and cookies and so on has changed. Just a word to say that I use Google analytics to track visitors to the site, and they probably use cookies. At some point I'll check.

    Twitter button

OK I admit I was bored, but I've added a "tweet this" button to each story. It ought to be straightforward as it uses the method provided by Twitter themselves, but do email me if you have any problems. Address in side bar on left hand side!

    Oops!

I've fixed one of the links in the side bar. They should all now work.

    Welcome!

Welcome to the new style of the St Totteringham's day page.

I'm not 100% sure about the colour scheme, and it is likely to change over the course of the season!

Assuming I don't delete it all again by mistake, as I did earlier this week, then this should chart the progress towards St Totteringham. Of course it is much too early to talk about when St Totteringham's will fall this year, and given the pre-season results I think many Spurs' fans will be saying "THIS must be the year." I wish I was as optimistic as I was last year.

But it is worth commenting that this would be the seventeenth season in a row. A major achievement if we make it.

Anyway, the old pages are still available if you want them. They are linked in the More Info section and also here:

Time to get excited by the new season.

    Oops

Owing to human error, I'm having to reconstruct the site.
