Unofficial W.I.N.A. HeadquartersWell, let's face it. The whole of the W.I.N.A. idea is unofficial - but it would be a great idea, wouldn't it? Yes, welcome to Imperial Nomic. The game where playing means changing the rules, and there's only one person in charge. Imperial Nomic was developed at Imperial College, London, under a different name. It has developed a small but enthusiastic following in a number of countries, mainly at universities where students have the spare time necessary for the complex intricacies of the game. Games of Imperial Nomic have been run in the United Kingdom, United States, and Australia, and been played by people in dozens of countries. That's the advantage the World Wide Web gives you when running a game. As you get with any game of skill, some people develop better strategies than others. That is, if you can call any sequence of moves in Imperial Nomic a strategy. As a result, the 25-odd games of Imperial Nomic and related games played so far have seen some players get further ahead than others, and this page is here to recognise that effort. The current World Imperial Nomic Champion is Brian Tivol, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, United States of America. Also available from these pages:
