St Totteringham's Day was the day when Arsenal fans celebrate the fact that Tottenham can no longer catch Arsenal in the League. It is a movable feast, but usually falls in March, April or May. It was the day to collect on bets made by over-optimistic Spurs fans in the close season who think that "this is the year".

    Champions of England 2025-6

Well played Arsenal. I have almost stopped bouncing with excitement.

This year saw the earliest St Totteringham's by every measure: earliest date (1st March), fewest games (28) and lowest proportion of games (73.7%).

Seeing our players celebrate the league title was a welcome site to me. It's been a long time since we celebrated a league title. In fact it has been the lifespan of this website: 2003/4 was the first season I did the tally.

Only two questions of interest to Arsenal fans left this season: a small cup final, and could next year be a year off due to Spurs being engaged elsewhere.

Sadly, it is extremely unlikely Spurs will go down, bookies odds and Opta predictions suggest it is around 1 in 6 or 7 chance. Fun to think about though.

Oh, I'm here to say I've updated the history page.
