St Totteringham's Day was the day when Arsenal fans celebrate the fact
that Tottenham can no longer catch Arsenal in the League. It is a
movable feast, but usually falls in March, April or May. It was the day
to collect on bets made by over-optimistic Spurs fans in the close
season who think that "this is the year".

Happy (ish) New Year
I am please to say I was one of the privileged group to be at Highbury
last night for Henry's return. What a player. What a goal. The tragedy
is that his movement after coming on as a sub showed up some of our
problems.
Anyway, it is time for the first table of the year and season. As of 4th
January games:
| Games | Points | Points behind | (games left) | (max points)
| | Spurs | 19 | 42 | | 19
| | Arsenal | 20 | 36 | 6 | (18) | (80)
|
The first time I've had to put the teams that way up since I started
doing this 8 years ago!
Whilst it is still a long way from May, I hyave to say I am now finding
myself increasingly of the opinion we could be facing our first year
without a St Totteringham's day since 1995.
