A man named Eldoard appears in all of Beaulieu I, CLXXXVI, III, XVII, LV, CLXVI, CLXV, CLXXVII, XXIX & LXIV, of which the first three are more or less comital donations to Beaulieu that he witnesses between 846/860 and 866. Then there is nearly a twenty-year gap and a sequence of appearances as witness, punctuated by a donation made in his own right, which fits, of the church of St-Baudile de l'Ouradour, that runs till 904. We must have two people here and the twenty-year gap seems to be where to divide them.
