A man called Ebrard witnesses comital family transfers of property in the Puy d'Arnac area in Beaulieu XXXIII & LXVIII (859 & 865). While there are confusions possible, it seems pretty likely that these are the same man, and this gives him the kind of connection to the abbey that might explain the generosity of Guy, the Auvergnat brother of an Ebrard, in Beaulieu LI.
