Ebrard
Created Friday 07 March 2014
Ebrard is a name that turns up a lot in the Beaulieu documents, and for a while I was conflating it with Ebrald, q. v. This is a list of occurrences of Ebrards from which individuals may be distinnguished:
- XXXIII (859, witness to donation by comital family to Beaulieu, Sarrazac)
- LXVIII (865, witness to private donation to Beaulieu, le Vert)
- LI (868, possibly dead brother of Auvergne donor Guy)
- LI (868, son of Auvergne donor Guy)
- CLXXIII (881, son of Guy, donor to Beaulieu, Auvergne)
- CLXXIII (881, monk of Beaulieu)
- CLVIII (889, witness to private donation, Castelnau)
- LXIV (904, witness to private donation, Yssandon)
Of these the Auvergne occurrences are obviously related and I distinguish this man as Ebrard de Lac, q. v. I'm not sure I can confidently distinguish any of the others, or even be sure that my conflation wasn't in fact accurate! The first two however make a reasonable association, so I've separated him as Ebrard of Puy d'Arnac.
