Guy is the name of an Auvergnat donor to St-Pierre de Beaulieu who appears, with his wife Ava, in Beaulieu LI (their donation of 868) & CLXXIII (their son Ebrard's confirmation of it in 881). He is brother to another Ebrard, who may be the man I suggest has an early connection to the abbey, perhaps explaining Guy's long-range generosity. Another such connection might be his father Frodino, however, and of course both could be true though if so what needs explaining is why these people have land in Auvergne but are serving the count of Turenne.
