Beaulieu XVI
Created Friday 07 March 2014
Mar. 856, a 'testament' by Archbishop Raoul of Bourges intended to establish a monastery at Végennes, apparently very largely with what was supposed to be the endowment of the nunnery of Sarrazac as well as sixteen named slaves and their families. This venture in fact proved no more enduring, as several of the same properties turn up very soon afterwards endowing St-Pierre de Beaulieu.
