Barrytown Knife

This might be what really got me interested in wood and metal working. The lovely people at Barrytown Knifemaking guide you through the process from start to finish. It’s a great fun day’s activity and no prior knowledge is required. You begin by forging the blade from red hot steel. Then you gradually add the handle, pins and bolster. After lunch it’s time to put the final shape and edge on the blade and give it a polish.

Weather forecast for Middle-Earth
