Poulton-le-Fylde sign

Poulton-le-Fylde is a station on the branch to Blackpool North just before the point where a former line branched off to Fleetwood.

The station front is on a road bridge over the railway, with steps leading down to an island with east and west bound platforms. The front of the station:

To either side of the entrance archway supporting the canopy over it are two monograms:

There is a plaque on the front of the station:

Railway Station - This
station, opened in 1896 was owned by the Lancashire & Yorkshire
and LNWR joint companies and replaced the original Preston & Wyre
Railway station at the corner of Station Road and the Breck which was
opened in 1840. An important junction for holiday excursion traffic
with its platforms 348 metres long, this station also catered for boat
train passengers calling from Fleetwood
