904x26, a donation to St-Pierre de Beaulieu by Ratbod of the villa of Chauvac, comprised here of four manses of which the first comes with a slave and the fourth has three capmansioniles. This is all intended to cover the entry into the monastery of Radbod's kinsman Guinebert, who holds these properties until the monastery give him an equivalent honor for him to live on as a cleric and those properties then still to be dedicated to the upkeep of his clericatus, for which he renders a cens of a modius of corn at mass-time, whenever that is. This is not at all Benedictine but tells us something about monastic organisation of pastoral care at least! There is no dating clause, no witnesses listed, and the penalty clause specifies a sum in talents; all in all this is not the usual formula book.
