Meadowhall (which brands itself an interchange) sits between Rotherham and Sheffield, and exists mainly because of the ginormous shopping megalopolis it's next to. It does also have a tram stop and a bus station and is the point where the lines to Penistone and Leeds branch off from the main line.

The main line towards York runs through platforms 1 and 2, with the main station building being on platform 1:

At platform level there is a passageway between the rear of the station and platform 1:

The ground floor of the station building houses a large waiting area with doors to platform 1 and to the tram platforms:

To the north of the station building are the tram platforms:

Directions show us the way up the steps (or the ramp to its left) to the footbridge:

The rear of the station building gives onto a ramp and steps down to the bus station, as well as to the big bridge which links directly to the Meadowhall shopping centre:

A large covered footbridge connects platforms 1 and 2 as well as leading onwards towards the shopping centre:
