Salhouse is the first station on the Bittern Line north from Norwich to Cromer and Sheringham. It's a typical small country station: utterly quiet and deserted except for the occasional passenger when a train comes.
The station car park is a short way from the sign and the road. The signboards at the entrance to the platform have the Bittern Line local information posters that have helped boost traffic along the line:
