Beaulieu CXXIX, CXLVII, XLIV, CLXXVIII, XLVII, LXXV & CLXXXVII may just all feature the same Gerbert, if so called on to act as an almsman when very young and then appearing mainly as witness until his last two (chronologically certain) apprearances in which he quits a claim he had been maintaining against Beaulieu and then, with his wife Doda, makes a substantial donation there, these being for property in Presque and Argentat respectively, the latter of which is subject to a provision that his sons, Bernard and Rigald, may buy it out. Despite this latter his witnessing is most often for property in Castelnau, which may if these really are all the same people tell us something about whom he gets his lift up from. From the first appearance we learn that he was kin to Calsto and Bladino, the exact ties not stated, and brother to Atto and another Bladino, but that doesn't help as much as it could do, especially since if any of these appearances might be the earlier man of this name it's that one!
