Austen was the son of Deotimio, but occurs firstly as donor in his own right of various properties in le Vert in 913 (Beaulieu CXXXIV), then as soul beneficiary in a donation to Beaulieu by his father in 916 (Beaulieu CXLVII) and lastly making another donation there, substantially in Rouffiac this time, in 917 (Beaulieu CLX). It could be that all three are different men, of course, in which case it is perverse of at least one of them not to recur...
