Worldcon reveal video
I co-scripted, edited and animated this reveal video for Worldcon 78, CoNZealand, which is to be held in Wellington in 2020.
I had fun with this! It was a good experience of a remote project – filmed in Wellington, “client” also remote, with rushes and preview cuts travelling over the internet. As well as editing, there was a lot of stock footage to wrangle, and I got to do some interesting After Effects work:
- 00:54 Guest of Honour reveal animation/composition
- 01:19 VHS pause/rewind effect
- 02:42 repair damaged footage
- 02:55 logo fly-in
We even got an endorsement from the Prime Minister!
