New Cross station was one of the two southern termini of the Underground East London Line, and now it is a terminus for some Overground services, as well as having through trains to Orpington and London Bridge. The front of the station is this modern building on the eastern side of the line:
The platforms are lettered rather than numbered, so the ticket hall gives on to platform C, seen here from platform B opposite:
