I've often passed through the stations between Nottingham and Lincoln, so one Saturday I decided to visit a few of the stations along the line. Rolleston was the first.

The shelter on the westbound platform is a little shabby:
On the western side of the track is the old station house, now a private home which looks as if it has been extended. The lamp on the corner of the house reads STATION HOUSE:
The crossing is still gated, and the gates are operated by a crossing-keeper, who gets to shelter from the cold winds in the two portakabin huts:
