Poole was the base for my 2007 station collecting holiday, again with Ben Harris and our bicycles. After the previous beautiful day on the Isle of Purbeck visiting Swanage and Corfe Castle, the day we visited Poole station was grey and wet.

The station is modern, built in 1988, but new developments will soon see it demolished and replaced by something else. The station building seen from the forecourt:
