Mangotsfield is a closed station on the Bristol and Bath Railway Path, and we arrived by cycle on a hot day to this view:
Mangotsfield was a junction station; this is the southern branch towards Bath:
Looking southeast along the island between the two diverging lines:
On the island platform are sculptures of an old case, and of tickets for Mangotsfield:
Looking westwards on the island platform. The trees are planted where
the station's columns once stood, forming a new kind of canopy
:
The platforms on the island were bordered by walls at their eastern end. The wall in front of the southern platform:
Looking east along the northern wall:
Looking west along the northern wall:
Some small walls in the centre, presumably remnants of the station buildings:
Looking west along the line
