Lazonby and Kirkoswald is yet another absurdly pretty station on the Settle-Carlisle line, serving the village of Lazonby and Kirkoswald about a mile north. The line is on an embankment, so there's a steepish slope up the road to the station building. The rear of the station building on the west of the site:

Once on platform 1 we look north along the platforms:
The front of the station building, built in the same style as the other stations on the Settle and Carlisle line:
The station building is in private hands, but this plaque can be seen through the windows:
A metal shelter on platform 1 is at least painted in the line's red:

Looking north from the end of platform 1:
North of the station on the platform 1 side is the old goods shed, now in use by Bells bakery:
We then return to the other end of platform 1 and look south over the bridge:
To get to platform 2 you have to descend to street level and go under this bridge which takes the line over the road:
On the far side of the bridge this track leads up to platform 2:
The track/road passes this house, in a similar style to the station:
Opposite the house is the entrance (both ramped and stepped) to platform 2:
Platform 2 is rather better appointed from the passenger's point of view, with the old building still open as a waiting room. One end of it is also in use by local volunteers for keeping the station's planters in order, as you can see from the wheelbarrow!
