About halfway along the Bristol and Bath Railway Path, a small section of
the old Midland Railway still exists as the Avon Valley Railway, whose
headquarters are here, at Bitton Station. There seems to be some local
opposition to the railway; Boycott Bitton Station
was written on the
cyclepath not far away.

The rear of Bitton station. The day we visited unfortunately happened to
be a Day Out With Thomas
which meant the station was full of small
children and the tannoy system was playing some excessively chirpy music.
