"Private" Railways

There are many railways in Switzerland described as "private", i.e. not state-owned. In almost all of these, the local canton(s) have the majority shareholding. It is hoped to add details for all these railways in due course. Meanwhile, timetable information for all parts of the country is available through the SBB and Fahrplanfelder websites.
