The Romanesque cathedral of the diocese of Urgell, Santa Maria, is to be found in Seu d'Urgell, a town that has grown up around it. This was presumably also the location of its forebear. The earlier, Visigothic-period, cathedral appears instead to have been at nearby Urgell:Castellciutat.
