Rainald
Created Wednesday 09 April 2014
A number of persons called Rainald occur in the Beaulieu documents, as follows:
- CLXXII (861, witness to donation of the church of Espagnac to Beaulieu)
- CLXXIX (868/878, witness to donation of a church in Sérillac to Beaulieu)
- CLVI (893, witness to donation of lands in Espagnac and Puy d'Arnac to Beaulieu)
- CXXXIV (913, witness to donation of land in le Vert to Beaulieu)
- LXI (943x8, Viscount of Aubusson, son of Ramnulf and Godolendis, husband of Alsindis, donor of lands in Espagnac to Beaulieu)
- CXLIX (954x67, witness to donation of properties in Puy d'Arnac to Beaulieu)
- L (c. 971, slave-judge from Chameyrac entrusted with 'Rundenario')
It's very hard, despite the persistent appearance of this name in Espagnac, to draw any of these people together, and I don't attempt it any further than this.
