Ebolo, as is made clear by his first appearance in Beaulieu CLXXXIX, was the brother of Hugues, Étienne and Ratbod, members of a later clan with interests all across the territories with which the Beaulieu documents are concerned, this exemplified by Ebolo's widespread donation to St-Pierre de Beaulieu in 967, Beaulieu LXXIII, which is the first and last we see of the man himself. A later document of Hugues's however identifies their mutual father as Franco.
