To the tune of "O Danny Boy", otherwise known as the "Londonderry Air" (Julian May readers see the "Tanu Song")
Belgarion, the Rivans are rebelling!
Their motto's now become "Don't Cross The Queen";
They've sent a message to your friend Varana,
To tell him how the last few years have been.
Imagine that you're walking through the Citadel,
Whene'er that shrill voice pierces through the air,
And crock'ry fills the space your head once occupied,
And then you see that green-eyed baleful stare.
"Where are you going, Druid, foul, misshapen?
Why do you flee? I never said you could!
I see that chocolate lying in your pocket there;
I know you're heading for my sisters' Wood."
You give a guilty start and run for safety,
But soon confront the mightiest knight on life,
Who murmurs in your general direction,
"Dost think that thou wilt shortly need a knife?"
