-* Tall, blonde and heavy shouldered but with the pallid face of a life of study, Hugh looks caught between two worlds. He is handsome and charming when he tries to be but has a habitually serious tone of mind and seldom to never flirts. He normally wears clothes suitable for a gentleman and a scholar, normally with a long and slender sword at his side.
+* Description: Little is left of the handsom, shy boy in the battered man astride the beautiful stallion with a hawk sitting on his shoulder. Hugh's eyes are intelligent, piercing and wary and his face is lined, determined and grim. Unless caught relaxing, Hugh wears the armour of a warrior with a plain surcoat on which is embroidered the emblem of the Quaesitors. A plain but well crafted long sword swings at his side and another is slung on his back, partially covered by a wooden and metal shield that bears his sigil. Hanging from the other side of his belt is a quiver of arrows although he does not carry a bow.On occasions when he feels safe, Hugh wears only a partial suit of leather scale armour and a single sword. This seldom occurs unless he is visiting allies and friends outside of his own tribunal.

* Hugh (actual name); Edgar (name he was given at Horsingas). Actual background is a fairly comfortable existence growing up at Hexham Priory as a child of the chamberlain (a lay position); implanted memories are as the son of a knight of mixed but mostly Saxon heritage who was murdered by the Abbot of Hexham's men to steal his remaining land. He was then stolen by the Tytalus of Horsingas and served them for a year before being rescued by Johannes in the raid on Horsingas
