+The Auram lab is on the top of the Tower (Elevated) at [[EskValley]].
+The floor has been expanded from the original stone in wood to make a hexagon
+(Auspicious Shape, Size +3). The floor is flat within reasonable
+expectation, and no part of the structure extends above it.
+(Outdoors, Natural Environment). Two erections on the top of the
+tower suggest previous use, perhaps as an astronomical laboratory -- a
+large armilliary sphere is mounted in the centre of the floor (Lesser
+Feature; could become Greater and/or Focus in a reorganisation), and
+the entire floor combined with a large, ornate, gnomon forms a giant
+sundial (Lesser Feature; could become Focus). A number of birds have made their
+nests in nest boxes around the lab (and a few outside of boxes)
+(Infested). A large quantity of esoteric equipment can be found in
+chests around the lab (Lesser Expansion); and one of the locals is employed
+to maintain the lab and keep it clean, particularly when it is not in use (Servant).

+The first impression of this lab is an intricate circle ward around
+the door and, upon further inspection, the other potential exits.
+Entering the lab ones attention is immediately drawn to a summoning
+circle traced in the floor (Lesser Focus) in brass but before long the sounds in the
+corners and shadows come to one's attention and it becomes clear that
+some of the cages and pens (Menagerie) are damaged and some of the
+animals have escaped (Infested). In addition it sounds as if
+something ... larger ... might be hiding (Lair). Fortunately it
+appears that the animals haven't got into the overhead store-cupboards
+(Extensive Stores) or the hypocaust (Magical Superior Heating).

+This lab is filled with miscellaneous equipment and tools, but the eye
+is immediately drawn to a large altar in the centre of the room
+(Greater Focus). The altar is similar in style to the font in
+[[the store|InnOne]], and is surmounted by the clearest crystal ball
+you've ever seen (Lesser Feature). On further inspection many of the
+things littering the room are examples of magical casting tools or
+aids from non- or pre-hermitic traditions (Specimens, also a Realia of
+Quality 4 for Vim). Sadly the lab is very disorganised (Disorganized)
+and essentially undecorated (Undecorated). The hypocaust system keeps
+this room warm (Magical Superior Heating).

+This lab is dominated by a surprisingly small fireplace in the middle
+of the exterior wall. A fire always burns in the fireplace, even if
+it is not fueled and if fuel, of any type, is provided then the
+resultant ash contains vis (Magical (Excessive) Heating, Vis Source,
+one of the covenants [[Vis Sources]]). As a result of this the
+hypocaust system has been blocked off from under this room. There is
+a large cauldron which has been fitted with wheels to allow it to be
+brought closer to and taken further from the fire (Lesser Focus), and the best
+quality equipment and tools have been provided (mostly because cheaper equipment
+keeps getting burned up) (Superior Equipment, Superiro Tools).

+The Outdoor lab is situated in a small clearing on the edge of the
+lake nearest to the inn (Outdoors, Natural Environment, Idyllic
+Surroundings) . There is a large iron circle surrounding the
+lab; of radius 31' (upon which wards can be erected at need), but the
+actual lab is laid out as a pentagram of area just over 1000'²
+(Auspicious Shape). The lab is spacious and well fitted out
+(Spacious, Greater Expansion) but because of its location it has no
+facilities for Longevity Rituals, Teaching, or Items (Missing
+Equipment x 2). There is a deep well in the centre of the lab (Lesser Focus).

+The Terram lab is in a natural cavern accessible off one of the worked
+out mine drifts. It is approximately 900sqft (Size +2) and the floor
+is uneven and full of holes and pits all of which make it a rather
+inconvenient location for a lab (Uneven Floor, Greater Feature,
+Greater Focus, Awkward Shape). One of the pits is a well (Lesser Feature). The walls
+of the cavern have been enchanted to provide lighting, which can be
+adjusted by the maga to their desire (Magical Lighting -- Excessive or
+Superior as desired). It is impossible to keep properly dry (Damp),
+but a natural flow of air through the caverns permits a large fire to
+be used to keep the whole cavern warm (Superior Heating).
+
+There is a collection of about three dozen different kinds of rock,
+some of which are large enough to be used as pieces of furnature
+(Specimens, also counts as a Realia of Quality 5).
+
+The one dry sections; a slightly raised blister in the wall; is devoted
+to a large supply cupboard (Extensive Stores)

+This lab is in a large converted storeroom in the front range of the
+inn. The hypocaust doesn't reach this far so the floor is packed
+earth but unlike [[the lab on the other side|InnOne]] a fireplace has
+been installed that shares a chimney with the barracks in the
+converted stable on the other side of that wall.
+
+Access to this lab is only from the outside of the Inn, via a
+dedicated passageway. It is the largest lab inside the Inn.
+
+This lab has recently been used for teaching and has an observation
+gallery at one end and a throne at the other (Gallery, Greater
+Focus). There is also a large shuttered skylight in the ceiling
+allowing celestial observations (Lesser Feature).

+This lab is in a large converted storeroom in the front range of the
+inn. The hypocaust doesn't reach this far so the floor is packed
+earth and it is to be anticipated that it will get quite cold during
+the winter (Defective Heating). It is currently being used as a
+storeroom for unwanted lab equipment and very little effort is being
+made to keep it in good working order as a lab (Defective Lighting,
+Dirty, Undecorated, Cramped). Notable amongst the various things
+stored here are:
+
+* A large limestone sarcophagus, undecorated. Inside it is the
+ skeleton of a young woman.
+* A statue of a woman. (Further inspection will reveal that it is a
+ replica of the Athena Parthenos and probably once stood in the
+ courtyard)
+* An ornate two-pan balance; with weights marked in grains, scruples,
+ drams, and ounces.
+* An ornately carved Norman baptismal font
+* A large copper cauldron, covered in verdigris.
+
+These are all Lesser Features. In addition one of the supply chests
+is regularly refilled by the Inn's *lares*; sometimes with strange and
+wonderful stuff (Faerie Ingredients)

+This lab has been enchanted such that the floor, walls, and roof all
+reflect sight, sound and smells back into the room as if mirrors
+(Personal, Concentration, Individual+3, Maintains Concentration, 24
+activations a day = 20). This is rather distracting if you are not
+used to it, but does also serve to insulate the lab from the outside world
+(Well Insulated). The light from a thousand candles appears to
+illuminate the room (Excessive Lighting) and a large quartz prism is
+mounted on a plinth in the centre of the room casting rainbow images
+throughout (Greater Focus). The hypocaust system keeps this room warm
+(Magical Superior Heating). Due to the distractions caused by mirror
+enchantment this lab is unsuitable for Teaching or Familiar work.
