  11 * Once long ago, in a covenant in a far off land in the bleak fens of East Anglia, there was a pride of cats. They were a happy crew, who ran their covenant much to their liking, telling their humans what to do through purrs, claws and the translation services of one of their number who was a cat of magic himself. Then one day, a horrible discovery occurred. The kittens were missing and all that could be found in the den where they had been reared was a single, solitary reed that stank of the dankness of the fens...
  12 * Note on playing Cunning vs. Intellect. Feel free to play cats as intelligent able to have conversations etc. The main difference between the mundane cat with cunning and the magical with intellect is logic, purpose and higher reasoning. Mundane cats tend to be more instinctive and less able to subordinate their desires to the long term good. If you have read Diane Duane's feline wizards books, this is a good guide in many ways.
