Is it just me or is there a surge of alternate init activity in Debian currently?

Okay, let's give this a bit more thought and time. I wait for your 
feedback my "Release notes for Trixie" thread.

If I go about it, I want to start with real merge request. For that I need 
to have some text or at least outline done first.
