Not sure what the real question is here, and whether I am asked or just 
kindly informed via cc.

In case that is helful, the official Debian package "iwd" does not use 
ucf and as far as I am aware never did.  (these facts should be easy to 
check by examining the declared dependencies (or the full sources in 
case declared information might be wrong).
