What to do with opensysusers/ opentmpfiles?

Hi all,

I'm seeking advise and consensus of this list for the future of the two
packages:

 - Both are dead upstream;

 - Both RC buggy: opensysuser can be fixed while the symlink
attack in opentmpfiles is really hard to deal with

 - Standalones build from systemd source are now available in
   experimental (systemd-standalone-sysusers|tmpfiles), but they are
   linux-only.

 - My time for the two package is limited, I can do some work
occasionally but I'm not able to fix RC bug and keep the interface
in sync with systemd in a timely manner..

 - There is already a Request of removal for opentmpfiles (maybe
another one is incoming for opensysusers?)

I think options are:

1 accept the removal of the two packages in favor of the
systemd-standalones ( ftp-masters and some other folks preferred
    option, I guess)
2 build only for non-linux arch
3 continue with arch: all but only in experimental/unstable
(remove from testing and don't release in stable)

Thoughts?

Lorenzo
