Objection:

• The buffer size (-s 524288) must stay
• Using -H adds ANSI colour escapes and changes the timestamp
• Using -x changes the output format as well, but at least not as bad

You’re conflating keeping dmesg logging running with changes
to the log format. I veto changes to the log format, especially
considering admins may have local scripts analysing these logs.
