Sorry, I misspoke.  I mean that I think that if they still work in
buster they will end up depending on elogind,

Other approaches are consolekit and systemd-shim.  I don't think
anyone is really keen on systemd-shim.

AIUI from the Devuan docs etc., consolekit is a plausible approach in
some situations.  Maybe we want it in Debian.  If someone wants to try
that with buster then I would love to hear about the results.
