Dear Lorenzo,

great to hear that. As you know, in Devuan ASCII (stretch-equivalent)
we have five supported DEs (XFCE, LXQT, Mate, Cinnamon, KDE), all
working with elogind+lightdm. Some of them can still work with
consolekit+slim. And in all of those the basic desktoppy-stuff
(shutdown, reboot, suspend, mount, and network config) works very
well.

I am the last person able to help with desktop-stuff, but I have seen
a lot of good progress on this front. I have the impression that the
vast majority of packages that declare a dep on systemd actually would
do with a dep on libpam-systemd only (and we have filed several bugs
about that in the last few years, and most of them have been
addressed).

It would be great to have a single elogind package for both Devuan and
Debian, and have rdeps sorted out properly even if the reactions to
Jan's query on the systemd-maintainers ML were not exactly positive :|
