The day's first station at Thurnscoe was a new one, dating from the 1980s. It's a simple affair with wooden platforms.
The entrance to the station is from Station Road which passes under the line just to its south. This is the entrance to the northbound platform 1:
Looking up the ramp towards platform 1:
At the top of the ramp is the entrance to the platform:
On platform 1, we look south with a shelter and the ramp we've just come up on our right:

Returning to Station Road we pass under the bridge which carries the railway over the road, and look back west at it:
Steps lead up to platform 2 from the road:
The steps join a ramped access to the platform:
