Brampton station, on the line east from Carlisle to Newcastle is very much a station in the middle of nowhere, being a couple of kilometres away from Brampton. Maps show there was once a short branch into Brampton itself, but this is now a well-used public footpath. The entrance to Brampton station from the north (and the direction of the village):
The first thing you see as you enter the station is the footbridge:
Just to the north of the footbridge a path leads alongside platform 1 along what looks like a disused platform edge, presumably once for trains into Brampton itself. The disused platform edge next to the bridge:
Looking further west along the disused platform edge:
Beyond the bridge steps a ramp leads up to platform 1, for eastbound trains. Looking at the eastern end of platform 1:
Looking west on platform 1, with platform 2 on the left:
A wooden shelter sits on platform 1, but it's a bleak structure with no windows and is painted a uniform blue:
There are however benches and a phone inside the shelter:

Looking east back along both platforms:

Steps lead down from the footbridge to platform 2, giving this view along it:

The shelter on platform 2 is of a more basic bus stop design:
