Instead Pebbles has taken to roaming Cambridge and its environs and acting as a hunter; this has lead her into contact with people who believe that black cats are witches' familiars and has for some reason adopted this belief; accordingly, though normally free-roaming she is unwilling to enter consecrated ground and recoils from the sign of the cross and other marks of the divine.
