+Description: A large butterfly, nearly the size of a human hand, Daoud is witty, charming and occasionally quite annoying. He is spellbindingly beautiful however with large wings of deep blue dusted with gold in patterns he claims are arcane in nature. Certainly, from a certain angle something that might be the Seal of Solomon can be seen. He can speak but his voice is somewhat inhuman, with a perfect pitch and tone that, while beautiful, is surprisingly hard to listen to.

+History: Daoud claims to be named after the great magician Suleiman-Bin-Daoud who assisted his ancestors and conferred great magical power on the line including the ability to summon mighty djinn and make the earth shake. He refuses to use these powers however lest he damage the world too badly. He has also claimed to be the familiar of the wizard and for that matter that Alexios is the third wizard he has had such a pact with. Daoud lived in a valley in South West Anatolia called Kelebekler Vadisi (named due to his family according to him) where he met two powerful magi lost and wandering. He rescued them and escorted them back to civilization. They interested him and he remained with them, becoming close friends with the younger of the two, Alexios, who he took under his wings. Eventually, he consented to take the young mage formally as his companion and entered into a magically binding pact with him. He is devoted to his pet human and tries never to hurt his feelings and to help him in his work. Although occasionally he does feel the need to point out again which of them is really in charge, he avoids doing this where it would embarrass Alexios.
