10 After apprenticeship, it was arranged somehow
11 (by corrupt means, probably)
12 that Kennocht should remain there as Quaesitor,
13 contrary to usual House Guernicus rules intended against nepotism.

16 Kennocht was curious and didn't take hints for
17 when to stay out of things.
18 He came to suspect a corrupt relationship
19 between his parens and his father,
20 with his parens assisting his father
21 in a dispute with another local lord.

25 his parens would see the error of his ways.
