Card transactions by proxy

Some of this sounds similar to the Paypal virtual terminal.

Their UK branding talks about taking transactions over mail, phone and 
email. Their US branding talks about the same but also fairly strongly 
alludes without saying it to using it for card-present transactions - they 
sell a card reader that will automatically read the details off your 
customers card and fill in the webform for you, and talk about using it at 
trade shows <polite cough>
