Those sound fairly recent to me. I don't think anything has happened to TeX
on RISC OS since then. I did have a go at cross-compiling tetex, but it
turned into a hugely complex project because the build system wasn't
amenable. TeXLive (its replacement) may be more amenable, I haven't tried it.

The server had a backup failure in the summer, so I'm afraid they're gone.
The list has been effectively dead for some years.

Pass, I don't know anything about DVIview.

!TeXFonts.!Boot is running all the !Install scripts in
!TeXFonts.Packages.!<something>.!Install
Something is going wrong on one of them, but it's difficult to tell which
one. You could try moving some out of the way and seeing which it is. I
think one of the FontInstall lines in one of them is the problem.

You should be able to double click a (La)TeX file to process to DVI, though
it's been ages since I tried this. What happened?
